Questions:

What do you put your trust in with your life? Macro trusts? Micro trusts?

Who puts their trust in you? Who do you put your trust in?

How is your trust? Has it ever waned? Do you know someone who struggles with trustfulness or trustworthiness?


As a central theme in scripture the Bible has some great encouragement and reminders of where and to whom we are to place our trust. Here are some key verses.


Psalm 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Psalm 22:4 In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them. Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song

Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

Psalm 56:3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you.

Psalm 62:8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Psalm 143:8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

Isaiah 12:2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation." Daniel 6:23 The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. John 5:22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 13:7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1

Timothy 1:15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.

2 Timothy 1:14 Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you--guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us . Revelation 22:6 The angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place."
