Life Questions

Our personal strength and resolve, physically, mentally and emotionally is challenged and taxed each day. Are you stronger than you can imagine or weaker than you fear? Where do you draw your strength? From what? From whom? Who looks to you for strength?


The Bible has many stories of people who's strength was tapped, who came to the end of themselves just to find God's open arms of mercy, grace and strength. Consider some of these verses to challenge, encourage and ultimately strengthen you as you trust and believe.


Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.’

2 Samuel 22:33 It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.

1 Chronicles 16:11 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Job 6:11‘What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient?

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

Psalm 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

Psalm 84:5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. Psalm 105:4 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.

Psalm118:14 The Lord is my strength and my defence; he has become my salvation.

Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Isaiah 40:31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”

Colossians 1:11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
