Life Questions
There's an old adage about knowledge that declares, "It's not what you know, It's who you know." How's your thirst and hunger for knowledge? What do you know for certain in this life? Is there something that have a strong acumen in or are an authority on? Where or who do you turn to for knowledge? Who do you know best in this world? Who knows you, deeply, intimately?
The Bible is in itself a wisdom book. A place people turn to for knowledge. Take some time to glance over or dig into these highlighted verses from scripture.
Psalm 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 19:1,2 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. Psalm 25:14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 94:11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile. John 14:7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? 1 Corinthians 8:3 But the man who loves God is known by God. Philippians 1:9,10 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. 1 John 4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Faith Questions
In His omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent power we are reminded through scripture that God knows everything about us. Many cite Psalm 139 as a significant reflection of this truth. If it is a truth for you in your life, one of the great questions of faith is, Is it possible to know God? Not just know of him, but to know Him. To know His heart and His character. If so how do you go about getting to know Him?
