What do you aspire to become? What are you afraid of becoming?
As an important theme in scripture the Bible has some great encouragement and reminders of what we as humans in this world have become and as followers of Christ what we are being shaped to become. Here are some key verses.
Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
Genesis 6:5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. Genesis 9:15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
Exodus 15:2 “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Psalm 94:22 But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.
Mark 10:8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
