CONTEXT is EVERYTHING

The Bible is regarded by many as the most important book ever written. Translated into more than 700 languages, it is the story of our origin, fall, struggle and journey to redemption. To its very core, it records the life of the most influential man to ever walk this earth - Jesus Christ. But was Jesus merely a man or something greater? The Bible records that he claimed to be the Son of God. If it is true... if he is who he claimed to be, than his words, life, death, burial and resurrection should have a profound impact upon each one of us.

According to Wikipedia, the Bible itself is a collection of religious texts or scriptures sacred to Jews, Samaritans, Christians and others. It appears in the form of an anthology, a compilation of texts of a variety of forms that are all linked by the belief that they are collectively revelations of God. These texts include theologically-focused historical accounts, hymns, prayers, proverbs, parables, didactic letters, poetry, and prophecies. Followers generally consider the Bible to be a product of divine inspiration.

On its own however, the Bible can be confusing and overwhelming and readers often wonder just where to begin.

We're glad you're here... let's begin with one word. Just one little word. Think about how it's used, twisted and distorted in the world and then look at how it’s used in the Bible, examining some of its different iterations. Then, watch as those little words come to life and form a new story that echoes to the very depths of your heart.

We believe that the story the Bible is telling is true. It’s important, it’s beautiful and it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Start with one word and jump in.

RECEIVE

Our perspective on the giver changes how we receive the gift of life every day. The more we understand the giver of this gift, the more fully we can receive it.

We are designed to live with a profound connection to God - our mind, body and soul in union with Him. God invites us to receive His gift of life and to live daily in the fullness of His grace, mercy and love as we learn more about Him.

Life is a precious gift - fragile and fleeting. This world that we can see, touch and experience is only one portion of the life we are meant to live. Can you feel it? That yearning for something more?

Journey with us as we dig in and seek to stir that deepest place within our hearts that is forever crying out for a connection with God. As we strive to receive the love, freedom and joy of this life and all that it was meant to be... there is nothing greater.

REFLECT

Reflection has two meanings. One is inward and introspective. It invites us to think deeply about what we value and believe.
It beckons us to discover who we are in the reflected light of God our Father.

But, reflection is also outward and responsive. As we discern who we are in Christ, we radiate His light out to the world. Our personal reflection is followed by mirroring that deepened faith to others, so they too can experience the joy of living life in communion with God.

We live in a world of smoke and mirrors. In the bustle of the big city, buildings of metal and glass shine and refract back at us. Everywhere we turn the sights and sounds of our busy lives are reflected as we whirl on by.

Ever wonder why that reflection seems so much more incredible and breathtaking in nature?

Take a minute. Stop. Sit. Question. Ponder. Take time to reflect on what you know to be true. Then shine. Share the light inside you with the dark and broken world around you. We all need to see the reflection of Christ in our lives' and you are in integral part of the gift of each new day.
